Things To Do In Dune Allen

The area is a trail-dream, rider’s with miles of paths to explore on foot or bicycle.

Dune Allen could be the perfect place to realize your beach vacation fantasies. Dune Allen is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with miles of trails, pristine beaches, and five coastal dune lakes (named Allen, Campbell, Morris, Oyster (formed like an oyster shell), and Stallworth).

Relax in the warm weather and take long walks along the beach at sunset. Take advantage of Stinky’s Bait Shack’s wares and try your luck fishing from the sand or in a coastal dune lake (you’ll need a license for either option unless you hire a guide who supplies them).

Camping and exploring Florida’s wild places is a passion of yours, right? Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is worth a visit since it has 3.2 miles of private beaches, coastal dune lakes, and miles of sand dunes.

Visit Stinky’s Fish Camp, one of the Top 10 restaurants in Dune Allen, for lunch or dinner. Fresh seafood and Gulf-to-table cuisine are the stars of the show at local chef Jim Richard’s restaurant. There’s a reason Stinky’s Stew is so popular around here. Elmo’s Grill, a low-key seafood restaurant offering weekly dinner service of anything from crab legs to fresh fish, is just a hop, skip, and a jump up the road.

Dune Allen is located on the Timpoochee Trail, making it a great place to get some exercise while taking in the area’s beautiful scenery.
